We are writing with our deepest regrets to announce the recent passing of Yvette M Soto, owner of the office of Yvette M Soto Accounting and Income Tax. As some of you may know, Yvette was experiencing a medical emergency while on vacation in Puerto Rico and was simply unable to keep up her valiant fight to recover from the illness and ultimately passed away on August 19, 2021.

Christina and The Soto family Alvin, Cruz, Daniel and David appreciate the outpouring of love and support during her hospitalization and the continued support and condolences after her passing.

Please accept Alvin Soto’s (619)322-6586 sincere apologies for the delay notification, as it’s been very difficult for the family dealing with the unexpected loss and Yvette’s funeral arrangements.

Funeral services are set for September 25th, 2021 at 11:00 am. Located at:

Mission Basilica San Diego de Alcala
10826 San Diego Mission Road
San Diego CA. 92108

We know she was loved and had a positive impact on so many people’s lives both personally and professionally- especially in the autism community. We welcome those who would like to pay their respects.

As we adjust, somethings will change in light of Yvette’s passing, but what will not change is our commitment to serving our clients and our assistance during this transition. We hope you continue to utilize our services. Christina will continue to stay on and do bookkeeping and payroll. Michelle Curl, an Enrolled Agent with 30 years of bookkeeping and tax experience is going to take over the servicing of Yvette’s clients. She can be contacted at (619)444-5555 or via email [email protected] with any questions or concerns.

Thank you again for your business over the years and trusting in the office of Yvette M Soto Accounting and Income Tax.

Sincerely,
The office of Yvette M. Soto Accounting and Income Tax

Today is the last day to unenroll from the Advance Child Tax Credit Payments for the 7/15 payment, check the FAQ below for the dates for the rest of the year. If you are overpaid during the year, it will be reconciled on your tax return and you will have to pay it back. It is not extra Child Tax Credit, it is an advance, you either get it monthly or on your tax return. If you always owe you should opt out, if you alternate years dependency credits because of divorce you should opt out. If you filed Married Filing Joint then you each have to log in and opt out.

🎧TODAY🎧love this. “It takes a village” is so true, especially in the Autism community. Kevin loves to bake and just a simple request of someone mentoring him happened with our amazing moms making the connection. April What's Baking has been amazing, she didn’t hesitate to mentor Kevin, you don’t need any special training just patience and respect. Pokez Mexican Restaurant has been supportive in our community by sponsoring events and providing food, they are like family, the pandemic has been difficult for all restaurants - come out and support them.

Again - this is NOT extra money, this is an ADVANCE of your Child Tax Credit. "Families who tend to owe money to the IRS when they file their taxes may want to use the full credit next year, as opposed to getting half of it in advance, because the benefit offsets what they ultimately have to pay.

“It’s protection from owing a surprise amount of money to the IRS,” said Maag.'

For some families, it may make more sense to claim the enhanced child tax credit as a lump sum when they file 2021 taxes instead of monthly payments
