Something shifted for me when I read The One Minute Millionaire by Mark Allen.

He described tithing not just as a spiritual practice, but as a mindset shift:

"The more success I create, the more good I can do in the world."

That idea changed everything. Especially in my work with purpose-driven entrepreneurs.

So many of my clients feel called to serve those who can't afford their services.

And I remind them: when you allow yourself to be financially successful, you expand your ability to give.

You can serve more people.
Support causes you care about.
Create lasting impact because your resources stretch further.
There's no inherent spirituality in poverty.
Financial well-being isn't greed.

It's what allows you to show up fully in your purpose and use your success to create positive change.

Money simply amplifies what already exists within you.

When you pair abundance with integrity, you create the freedom to live, give, and serve at a higher level.

This is the sacred side of wealth.

And it's exactly what I explore in Chapter 10 of Financially Unstoppable: how money becomes a spiritual practice when you align it with your values, your purpose, and your soul's calling.

I recently had an accident. A bad one.

The other driver was carrying California's minimum insurance: $15,000 per person for bodily injury. $5,000 for property damage.

My car was totaled. I suffered a concussion, severe vertigo, chronic tinnitus, extensive musculoskeletal issues.

Over the next two and a half years, I incurred nearly $100,000 in medical expenses my health insurance didn't cover.

As a sole parent to teenage twins and the primary earner for my family, this was devastating.
Fortunately, I had savings and investments to cover these costs. But when I calculated the long-term impact, I realized something critical:

Taking $100,000 out of my investments meant losing over $215,000 in potential retirement savings over the next 10 years.

More than double the initial amount.

But years earlier, I'd had a conversation with a colleague who'd experienced something similar. So I'd asked my insurance advisor to reevaluate my risk exposure.

I raised my coverage significantly. Added a robust umbrella policy. Including uninsured and underinsured motorist coverage.

Thanks to that proactive planning, I hired an attorney on contingency. After nearly a year and four months, we resolved my claim.

Not only did I recover my out-of-pocket expenses, but I learned a critical lesson:

Managing risk is just as vital (if not more so) than planning for the things we can control.

In Financially Unstoppable, I break down exactly what your financial "treasure chest" should include to protect everything you've built.

Insurance.
Emergency reserves.
Estate planning.
All of it.

Because true financial security isn't about hoping nothing goes wrong.

It's about knowing you're prepared when something does.

I call it financial tuition.

It's the cost of learning valuable lessons that guide wiser choices moving forward.

We all make financial decisions that aren't perfect.

Sometimes because of our circumstances.
Sometimes just because we're human.

The key is to learn from it so you don't make the same mistakes over and over again.

And keep moving forward.

Women, in particular, tend to carry a lot of fear and shame around money mistakes.
We want to be sure. And when something doesn't go as planned, we internalize it.

But here's what I remind my clients:

That mistake? That's your financial tuition. You paid for that lesson. Now use it.
What you don't want is for that mistake (or the fear of making one) to stall your progress.
Think about it: if you make a few imperfect decisions but keep investing, that's far less damaging than stepping away from your finances entirely for five or ten years.

Time is one of your most valuable assets.

Making mistakes along the way is part of the journey.

But letting fear keep you stuck? That can be devastating.

In Financially Unstoppable, I show you how to reframe your money mistakes, release the shame, and transform those experiences into wisdom that moves you forward.

Because every financial decision is a learning opportunity.

Give yourself permission to grow from it.

There are five different "wealth languages."

Just like we give and receive love differently, we also relate to money differently.

Security Seekers need stability and predictability to feel safe.
Freedom Finders value flexibility and options above all else.
Status Builders see money as a reflection of achievement and progress.
Experience Lovers prioritize joy, connection, and meaningful memories.
Legacy Givers focus on impact, contribution, and lasting significance.

None of these are right or wrong.

They're just different.

But here's what I've learned in 30 years of working with couples: most money conflicts aren't really about the dollars and cents.

They're about speaking different wealth languages.

When one partner values security and the other values freedom, spending decisions can feel like fundamental disagreements.

But when you understand each other's language, you can move from conflict to collaboration.

I had one couple who'd been together over 30 years and still struggled to have constructive money conversations. After two months of deep work identifying their individual values and wealth languages, everything shifted.

Their communication improved. Their cash flow naturally improved. And for the first time in years, I saw them genuinely smiling at each other, laughing, truly connecting.

In Financially Unstoppable, you'll discover your unique wealth language through a complete quiz and framework. Plus, you'll learn how to understand and honor the wealth languages of the people closest to you.

One of the most powerful exercises I do with clients is something I call the Values Pyramid.

I ask: "What's important to you about money?"

They might say "security."

So I ask again: "What's important about security?"

"Freedom from fear. Knowing I'll be okay no matter what happens."

I keep asking. Each time, we peel back another layer.

What looks like a simple word (security) actually represents safety, peace, control, being a provider, having choices.

One client discovered through this exercise that her deepest value wasn't security at all.

It was freedom.

Specifically: "I want to taste every corner of the earth."

That realization exposed how her financial choices were actually pulling her away from what mattered most.

That beautiful home she rented? High expenses. Growing debt. A stifling relationship. No room for adventure.

Within a year, she'd bought an income-generating property, remarried a partner who shared her love of travel, and finally began living the life her values had been pointing her toward all along.

Your values are your financial compass.

When you understand them clearly, every decision becomes simpler.

In Financially Unstoppable, I walk you through the complete Values Pyramid framework step by step. You'll learn how to identify your deepest values and align every financial decision with what truly matters to you.

Here's a question I ask every new client:

"Based on today's dollars, how much do you think you'll need each month in retirement to live comfortably?"

The responses are revealing.

Especially from women.

Instead of confidently stating what they want to live on, many begin with what they could live on.

They're already minimizing. Already compromising before we've even started building the plan.

So I ask them again: "Okay, we know what you could live on. But what would you like to live on?"

Because here's the thing: if you plan for what you could live on, that's exactly how much you'll create.

But if you plan for what you want to live on, your financial roadmap opens up. You give yourself permission to imagine more.

This is your definition of retirement, not someone else's.

Not what you think you "should" want. Not what seems "realistic."

What do you actually want?

That's where everything starts. And in Financially Unstoppable, I walk you through exactly how to build a retirement plan that reflects the life you truly want to live.

Not the life someone told you was "good enough."

"Why hasn't anyone explained it to me this way before?"

I can't tell you how many times I've heard those words.

They usually accompany a look I've come to recognize. The shoulders drop, the eyes brighten, the breath steadies, and you can almost see the weight lifting as the pieces finally click into place.

My clients don't say this because they're not smart or successful. They absolutely are.
It's because the financial industry has a habit of keeping people in the dark.

There's this unspoken norm in finance: if clients fully understood their money, they'd no longer need us. So instead of creating genuine partnerships, many advisors foster dependency.

But I've never worried that empowering my clients will mean losing them. In fact, it's the opposite.

The more informed my clients are, the better equipped they are to grow. As they gain knowledge, they ask smarter questions, become more strategic, and build a stronger financial foundation.

That's what Financially Unstoppable is all about.

Education.
Empowerment.
Partnership.
