Remember to make your Traditional or ROTH IRA contribution for the 2025 year before April 15, 2026.
A better option, if you are allowed, is to open a SEP IRA. Then, you could have until October 15, 2026 to make an even larger contribution for the 2025 year.

Here is what we know so far for the recent new bill signed into tax law on July 4, 2025. More information is to come regarding the implementation for the 2025 year and beyond.

We estimate the One Big Beautiful Bill Act would increase long-run GDP by 1.2 percent and reduce federal tax revenue by $5 trillion over the next decade on a conventional basis.
