Tuesday Tip #11 🦋 ~ Revenue isn't the same as profit.
Seeing your sales grow can feel like a clear sign that your business is doing well, and it certainly can be.
But revenue is simply the total income your business generates before expenses. Profit is what remains after the costs of running your business are deducted.
And that difference matters.
Understanding the difference can help you:
✔️ Evaluate whether your pricing is supporting your business
✔️ Identify when rising expenses are reducing profitability
✔️ Make better decisions about spending and growth
✔️ Understand the true financial health of your business
Action Step: When reviewing your monthly financials, don't stop at the revenue line. Look at your expenses and your bottom line, too. Ask yourself: How much of what my business earned did it actually keep?
Strong sales are worth celebrating. But understanding what remains after expenses gives you a much clearer picture of how your business is really performing.
One Minute. One Better Business Habit. 🦋
