🚨 CASE STUDY: $107,755 IRS DEBT | $1,716/MONTH → $233/MONTH

I just wrapped up an IRS call for a client who owes $107,755.

The IRS wanted approximately $1,716/month.

I said, “Yeah, freen… we’re NOT doing that.” 😂

After completing Phase I: Diagnose™ and Phase II: Strategize™, I told my client I believed we could get her payment down to $233/month.

She needed time to think before moving forward with Phase III: Resolve™—and I understood. She even had her mama call me to make sure I wasn’t a scammer. 😂

And baby, her mama DRILLED me.

I told her, “Ma’am, you will not get any pressure from me. Make a sober decision. I present the facts, explain what I found, and tell you what I believe I can do. I would NEVER steal from people or lie just to get their money.”

A few days later:

Invoice sent.
Invoice paid.
Let’s work. 💅🏾

Today, we established her agreement with the IRS:

💰 IRS balance: $107,755
❌ IRS proposed payment: $1,716/month
✅ New payment: $233/month
💵 Monthly difference: $1,483
🤯 Projected tax debt savings: MORE THAN $90,000

And the IRS representative tried to request something from my client he shouldn’t have.

I corrected him.

He said, “Oh yeah, you’re right. My bad.”

😂 DON’T PLAY WITH MY CLIENTS.

Now, this does NOT mean everyone who owes $100K can pay $233/month. Every resolution depends on the taxpayer’s individual facts, circumstances, eligibility, and continued compliance.

But for THIS client?

$1,716 → $233/month.

My goal is $1,000,000 in my 10th year of business.

And whew… just typing that makes me emotional. 😭

Ten years ago, I bet on myself.

I quit my good government job at the IRS to chase a dream I hadn’t even fully realized yet.

And to sit here today, in the midst of what God has done… 😭😭😭

Y’all really don’t know the cost of my oil.

You see the success today, but you have no idea how many tears it cost me to get here.

I started this business with $200 and a Black Friday computer.

Today, The Tax Fixer is $270,000 away from our first MILLION-DOLLAR YEAR.

The business I started with $200 allowed me to purchase my dream home last year.

It allowed me to pay off my first property 22 years early.

It changed my life.

So yeah… to everybody who told me I was crazy 10 years ago:

I guess I was. 😂😂😂

Crazy enough to believe God.

Crazy enough to leave security.

Crazy enough to bet on myself.

And crazy enough to keep going when quitting would’ve been easier.

All that I am and everything I have is because of God.

I am an ordinary person with extraordinary, crazy faith.

I don’t magically become strong when things get hard.

I cry. I pray. I cry some more. I wash my face. And then I keep going.

So now we have $270,000 left.

And I’m coming for every dollar of it. 😂

Because if God could take $200, a Black Friday computer and a crazy woman with a dream and build THIS…

Imagine what He can do with your yes.

Anything is possible with God. 🙌🏾

To everyone who wants to be my client, hear me loud and clear:

If I join our Zoom call—or one of my team members joins—and you’re overwhelmed with emotion and start crying, please don’t apologize.

Stop apologizing for being human.

If I’m on the call, I’m simply going to ask you if you believe in Jesus. If you say yes, we’re going to stop right there and pray together.

If you say no, that’s okay too. We will pray for you internally.

Either way, you do not have to apologize for your emotions.

Yesterday, one of my clients broke down during our call, and I told them, “Take your time.”

Because life be life-ing like never before. Sometimes life is downright painful. Sometimes it feels unfair. Sometimes you’ve been holding everything together for so long that the tears just come.

Be human. It’s okay.

I legit care about the people I work with. Sometimes you don’t need someone rushing you through the moment. Sometimes you just need an ear to listen while you get yourself together.

Tax problems can be stressful. Life can be stressful. And you don’t have to pretend you’re okay with me when you’re not.

So cry if you need to cry. Take a minute if you need a minute. We’ll handle the tax problem when you’re ready.

And for the record…

I know I’m hard in my posts, but I’m not like that in real life. 😉😂

I speak with adults every week who don’t have a credit card, and I encourage them to get at least one major credit card.

Not because I want you to go into debt—but because life happens.

Your car doesn’t care if your checking account is low.
Your water heater doesn’t check your bank balance before it breaks.
Emergencies rarely wait until payday.

A major credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, or Discover) can give you a financial safety net while you work through an unexpected expense. The key is to use it responsibly and pay it off as quickly as possible to avoid high interest charges.

Also, skip the store credit cards if you can. They usually have limited use and often carry higher interest rates than general-purpose credit cards. A major credit card gives you far more flexibility because it’s accepted almost everywhere.

Even better, choose a card with a rewards program. If you’re already paying for groceries, gas, travel, or business expenses, you might as well earn cash back, travel points, or other rewards on purchases you were going to make anyway.

Here’s the part many people don’t realize: according to the Federal Reserve, the most common unexpected expenses Americans face are major vehicle repairs, home or appliance repairs, and medical expenses. (Federal Reserve)

A credit card is not an emergency fund. Your goal should still be to build 3–6 months of living expenses in savings. But until you get there, having one major credit card available can be the difference between solving a problem immediately and watching it become an even bigger one. (Investopedia)

Stop lying on your tax returns … it’s never worth your freedom.

So what you owe a balance due, there’s a tax solution for it. We just have to find it and educate you on how to avoid the same situation going forward.
