Investors should "go for gold" as the precious metal's stellar run isn't over, Goldman Sachs analysts said in a research note, Yahoo Finance reports. "Our preferred near-term long is gold. It remains our preferred hedge against geopolitical and financial risks, with added support from imminent Fed rate cuts and ongoing EM central bank buying," wrote Goldman Sachs analysts on Sunday.

Last Monday, global equities and digital assets underwent a dramatic selloff as the unwinding of the Japanese yen carry trade rattled markets. The S&P Global Broad Market Index (BMI), which measures the performance of more than 14,000 stocks around the world, retreated 3.3%, its worst trading day in over two years.

Do you know how much an Olympic gold medal is worth? It is exceedingly more valuable than the basic materials that go into making it, explains CEO Frank Holmes (523 grams of silver, covered in six grams of gold).

But if we’re pricing a gold medal based just on today’s commodity prices, it’s valued around $1,027, according to Oxford. Forecasters there say that the same medal could be worth $1,136 in 2028, when the Olympics takes place in Los Angeles, and $1,612 in 2032, just in time for the Brisbane Games.

That’s how Executive Global Magazine profiles CEO and CIO Frank Holmes who told the publication that, “royalty companies present an exciting opportunity for due to their unique business model.”

“Gold royalty and streaming companies have historically had high gross profit margins, recurring revenue, and very high revenue per employee, which generates a lot of free cash flow in order to grow,” Frank explains. “I believe one of the smartest ways to play gold stocks is with Franco-Nevada.”
