IRS Filing Season Update – Business Owners
The IRS will begin accepting business tax returns on January 13, 2026 for the 2025 tax year.
At this time, the IRS has not yet announced the official start date for individual income tax returns (Form 1040). That information is typically released closer to the opening of filing season.
If you are a business owner, now is a good time to gather documents and prepare so your return can be filed as soon as the IRS opens the system.
