Assets: This is all your money, inventory, and stuff. This is also all the money that people still owe you. It doesn’t include small stuff like paper clips or paper. Ya, you own that paper clip, but no one cares. Those are expenses.

Net Income: This is the actual money that your business made after expenses are accounted for. It’s still not all yours though. Make sure you put away for self-employment taxes.
