Opening a business bank account is one of those tasks business owners put off for months...

Then you finally do it and realize it took about 30 minutes 😅

And here's something a lot of people don't realize:

You do *not* have to use the same bank you use for your personal accounts.

Different banks offer different fees, features, minimum balances, and integrations.

So it's worth shopping around before you commit 🏦

The right business bank account can make managing your finances a whole lot easier.

Comment "BANK" and I'll send you my free guide covering:

→ What you'll need to open a business bank account

→ How to choose the right bank for your business

→ My personal bank recommendations for professional service businesses

HOT TAKE: It should be illegal for a tax deadline to fall on a Monday 🙃

And if you've ever noticed that quarterly estimated taxes don't exactly follow a "quarterly" schedule, there's a reason for that ↓

Back in the day, Tax Day was March 15th.

Congress counted three months forward and set the next estimated tax deadline for June 15th 📆

Then Tax Day moved to April 15th...

But the June 15th estimated tax deadline never moved with it.

Which means you get a full three months between some estimated tax payments...

And only two months between others 😅

So yes, your Q2 estimated taxes really are due surprisingly soon after your April payment.

I don't make the rules.

I just help business owners stay on top of them 🤷

Tax season has a not-so-funny way of exposing every weak spot in your bookkeeping 🙃

And when your books are behind, tax season gets a whole lot less fun...

→ Your return gets extended

→ Your CPA spends hours sorting through a shoebox of receipts

→ You're left wondering if you actually captured every write-off you were entitled to

None of those are great surprises to find out in March or April 😅

The good news?

You don't have to repeat the cycle next year.

I help business owners get their books cleaned up, caught up, and maintained throughout the year so tax season feels a lot less stressful.

If tax season humbled you this year, it might be time for a better bookkeeping system.

A few FAQs that have been popping up in my DMs lately ↓

“Do you do taxes?”

Nope 🙂

But I do have a list of amazing accountants that I refer clients to.

“What about 1099s?” 👀

Now that I can help with.

Along with keeping your bookkeeping clean and up to date throughout the year, I also help many of my clients handle their 1099 filings in January.

Because the goal is not just organized books.
It’s making your life as a business owner easier too 🤗

I’m campaigning for a mindset shift among business owners ↓

Just because something is “nice to have” does *not* automatically make it a luxury.

And honestly?
I see this mindset hold business owners back all the time.

It’s why outsourcing things like social media, bookkeeping, inbox management, or scheduling can feel “extra”… even when those tasks are draining hours of your week.

Could you technically do it all yourself?
Sure.

But is that the best use of your time as a business owner?
Probably not 👀

The most successful businesses I work with are not the ones trying to wear every hat.

They’re the ones who understand that buying back their time is an investment, not a splurge.

Because support is not just about making life easier.
It creates more space to grow your business sustainably.

A professional service business owner came to me recently after DIYing her bookkeeping for way too long.

Her biggest frustration?
She had numbers… but no real understanding of what they were actually telling her.

She was asking questions like:

→ Can I actually afford this new equipment investment?

→ Am I saving enough for taxes?

→ Are these expense categories in QuickBooks even correct? 👀

And honestly… they weren’t.

When I reviewed her books, I found major categorization issues that could’ve caused her to miss legitimate tax write-offs.

So we cleaned everything up, corrected the errors, and got her financial statements into a spot where we both felt confident in the numbers.

Once we ran her P&L, we finally had clear answers.

And spoiler alert:
she was definitely under-saving for taxes 😅

That’s the real value of good bookkeeping.

Not just “keeping things organized,” but helping you catch problems early enough to actually do something about them.

You *might* be asking a little too much of Google Sheets 👀

It may be time to let QuickBooks take over if you want things like:

→ Bank accounts that automatically sync transactions

→ Financial reports you can customize and compare month-to-month

→ Easy contractor payments and 1099 filing in one place

→ Features like branded invoices, time tracking, and inventory tracking

Your spreadsheet has done its best 🫩

But if your business is growing, your systems probably need to grow with it too.

And the good news?
You do not have to figure out the transition yourself.

I’ll help get your professional service business set up properly and move everything over to QuickBooks for you.

One of the most common tax questions I get from business owners ↓

“Can I deduct this meal?” 🥘

And the answer is…
it depends 👀

Ordering DoorDash while working from home?
Probably not deductible.

Meeting with a client for a legitimate business purpose?
Now you’ve got a much stronger case for writing it off.

The IRS cares about *why* the meal happened, who attended, and whether you documented it properly.

One of my favorite easy tips?
Keep a quick note with:

→ who you met with

→ the business purpose

→ a copy of the receipt

Tiny habits like that make tax season so much easier.

I’m immediately side-eyeing your pricing if I hear any of these from a business owner 👀

→ “I’m completely booked out and couldn’t take on another client if I wanted to.”

→ “My subscriptions, payroll, contractors, and rent all cost more… but somehow I’m paying myself less.”

→ “I’m starting to resent certain clients because the work doesn’t feel worth it anymore.”

All of those point to the same issue:
your pricing.

Good pricing should:

✔️ Reflect your experience and value

✔️ Support your owner’s pay

✔️ Account for rising business expenses

✔️ Leave room for growth instead of burnout

If you’re not sure whether your pricing actually supports the business you want, your numbers can tell you a lot.

And that’s exactly what I help business owners figure out.

Answering one of the most common DMs I get from business owners ↓

“Can you still help me if I’m not using QuickBooks?”

Absolutely 🫶

I work with businesses all the time that are currently managing their bookkeeping in spreadsheets.

If we work together, we’ll simply migrate your books into QuickBooks or Kick.co.

Personally, I’m a big fan of QuickBooks because it’s flexible, customizable, and gives business owners so much visibility into their numbers 🖥️

But if you have multiple entities and want a simpler, lower-cost option, Kick.co can be a great fit too.

And the transition?
I’ll handle it.

I do this all the time for professional service businesses, and once your numbers are organized properly, you’re going to wonder how you ever managed without it.
