Today I talked with a daughter of a client I closed in 2005, 20 years ago. The borrower passed away over the weekend. I was helping her understand what happens now. The daughter said, “It [the reverse mortgage] made my mother’s life so much better. She wanted to stay in her home and she was able to, and passed at peace in her home.” Always nice to know I make a difference in someone’s life, allowing them to remain in their home and fulfill their dreams and wishes. We received a new BBB review: Beth did a great job. She is a knowledgeable professional with an exemplary commitment to customer service. I read Wade Pfau's book Reverse Mortgages: How to use Reverse Mortgages to Secure Your Retirement to learn about HECM's and why they might be used. "We started working with Beth about 5 years ago and found out what patience is. We never felt pushed or harassed. We also involved our financial planner who helped us greatly. When we called the last Beth was there again and walked us through an involved process with patience and calm. We were finally able to take advantage of a higher than expected appraisal value and a low fixed interest rate.
