Public Schools, Public Housing, Public Colleges Can Still Equal Success, I Am Proof
It’s been a long year. One with unexpected changes in family, income and almost every situation that can be imagined. At this point it really doesn’t matter what happened because now it’s the end of the year and looking back everything that did happen doesn’t even seem real.
This is what most people say in the last month of the year. They take account of what has occurred and then look back only to say, “they can’t remember.” The reason they can’t is because it wasn’t enough impact to stop them in their tracks or keep them from believing in something that greater, higher or better than where they stand right now.
This is how I felt when I looked back on starting an Accounting firm, all alone, no help and really no one to talk to. It was the most incredible yet critical part of my life because this one step would determine a very vital outcome…….Where I landed TODAY!
Now, some 18 years later, thriving, profitable, encouraged and pushing boundaries, what I call, “My Accounting Blood,” is just beginning to brew. Helping families, newbies, retirees and veterans create a life not just a lifestyle that makes sense to them. Here I stand really proud and humble.
When you grew up in the inner city, going to public schools and attending public colleges but have accomplished and are still accomplishing good things it’s a win in every direction.
If it wasn’t for “The City of Cleveland,” I would never have been given a chance to learn, grow and be ambitious. Being born here changed my life and continues to give rise to expansion and notable choices.
