HIRING: Tax Senior
We are a fast growing, dynamic environment, and client centered CPA firm with our Central Team located in Rockwall/Heath Texas. We have three locations (Rockwall/Heath, Kaufman, and Austin). This is a perfect opportunity for an experienced tax senior working in Dallas that wants to serve a local community from our Central Team office.

Qualified candidates will have several years of CPA firm experience and will:

- Possess a broad tax knowledge and a basic knowledge of accounting principles and QuickBooks
- Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Have the ability to establish a rapport and good communication with our clients and our team
- Be able to apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Demonstrate strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Have the ability to gather, organize and summarize information efficiently and effectively
- Have their CPA license or actively pursuing passing the exam

A tax senior will have the opportunity to make an impact in our firm by:

- Working with our tax managers for review and professional growth
- Maintaining contact with client personnel responsible for tax matters throughout the year; possessing a good knowledge of the client and the client’s business especially as related to tax matters
- Identifying tax planning and consulting opportunities and working with our tax managers and partners on implementation of that planning
- Having the ability to work for multiple clients simultaneously
- Bringing unusual or significant tax questions to the attention of the tax managers and partners

IRS sent incorrect balance due notices to couples for 2021 even though they paid all their tax due. Of course that causes concern, especially in this world of fraud and identity theft. The IRS finally realizes this, and issued their response:

“Taxpayers who receive a notice but paid the tax they owed in full and on time, electronically or by check, should not respond to the notice at this time.” The IRS is researching the matter and will provide an update as soon as possible."

Seriously: The letters that the IRS has been sending to taxpayers about the amounts they received on advance payments of the Child Tax Credit may have outdated information. IRS launched a website, and taxpayers being asked to use that instead.

We are interviewing for a salaried position as our Client Services Coordinator / Receptionist. Working at the front desk, this position interacts daily with our clients and will need administrative experience with strong communication and organizational skills. Attention to detail is a must, as a team spirit that serves our clients is the foundation of this role, also supporting our entire staff administratively. Computer skills are a prerequisite, including Microsoft Office.

Applicants must be proficient in QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online, processing payroll, excel, and bookkeeping experience as well. Although prior experience at a CPA firm is not required, it is definitely a preferred prior work experience. This position will interact daily with our clients regarding accounting matters and communication skills are a must.
