New info for Minnesota residents that file for a renters rebate. If you are eligible for the rent credit, make sure you get the M1 form from your landlord. File it with your return. Di not let your tax preparer tell you, you cant file it until June. Thats not correct. I repeat file it with your regular return. If you get a refund for the credit it will be included in your state refund. You no longer have to wait until Aug. Or Sept. To receive your funds. If you don't wait for the form you will miss out on the credit and have to submit and Amended return. Any questions you can reach out to Impact Tax Service LLC (309)300-4630. I'll be glad to help.
