Busy Tax Office is looking for a professional tax preparer with at least 3 years public tax preparation experience.
(Doing your friends and family at your kitchen table using Turbo Tax does not make you a professional.)

We are open Mon - Saturday, hours are flexible, but 25-30 hours a week is minimum, days, some evenings and Saturdays. Expected to start training early January, working on the schedule end of January - April 18th.

You must possess a current PTIN and NYS PRIN and will have your NYS CPE requirements current. Drake Tax Software is a plus!

We are a 33 year old private tax and accounting firm and cherish the reputation that we have earned, and expect you to do the same.

Phone Scam Alert

On 02/28/2018 at about 5:40 pm, a Rochester NY city resident reported receiving a call from a male with an Indian accent. That male claimed to be from the Gates Police Department. The resident was told that an arrest warrant had been issued for them due to an IRS matter. The caller ID showed 585-247-2262, which is the direct number to the Gates Police Department. Fortunately, the resident grew suspicious and hung up on the male. The resident then called 911 and was put in touch with a real Gates Police Officer. They were then informed that the call was in-fact a scam.
This unfortunately is one of the common scams going around the nation. The callers will try and create a situation to get you to panic and act in an urgent manner. They will and solicit funds to “take care of” the situation either through wire transfer or gift cards.
The Gates Police Department does NOT handle IRS matters. No Police Agency will ever solicit funds over the phone.
If you suspect a phone call scam, do not give out any personal information or transfer money. Call 911 or stop into your local police department to report the incident.
