I'm posting on facebook. We must be in a crazy times indeed. In any event, to my small business clients who have been forced to stop seeing patients and customers, here are 5 things you can do in the mean time:
- Review systems and processes for your business. We often spend time way too much time just keeping up, especially sole proprietors. Use this downtime to focus on your business, rather than working in your business.
- Crush out some continuing education. Most professionals enjoy continuing education, but it still takes away from productive time. Do what you can now so you can remain productive the remainder of the year.
- Revisit your website and advertising efforts. Does your website need to be revamped? Do your advertising efforts need to be adjusted based on current conditions? Answer is a likely yes.
- Refresh the office. Not only does your office need a deep clean due to present health risks, but closures offer a rare chance to make office changes and improvements without disrupting work flows.
- Most importantly, keep communication active with employees and customers. Now is not the time to lose key customers or key employees.
