It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our former colleague, Elsie Broyles. During her time with our firm, Elsie was a valued member of our team who made a lasting impact through her dedication, hard work, and kindness. She will be remembered not only for her contributions, but also for the relationships she built with those around her.
Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences are with Elsie's family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her during this difficult time.
She will be greatly missed and fondly remembered.

Tax Extension Announcement:

The IRS announces tax relief for Mississippi taxpayers impacted by severe winter storm; various deadlines postponed to June 8, 2026.

Mississippi will follow federal extensions granted to victims of Winter Storm Fern that took place on January 23, 2026. Taxpayers who reside or have a business in Mississippi have until June 8, 2026, to file and pay individual income tax returns, corporate income and franchise tax returns, pass-through entity tax returns and quarterly estimated payments that were originally due during this period.

Any disaster area taxpayer who receives a penalty notice should contact our office at (601) 923-7700 to receive abatement. In addition, we will work with any taxpayer who resides elsewhere but whose books, records, or tax professionals are located in the disaster areas.

The extension does not automatically apply to any other tax types or payments due on prior liabilities. Relief may be granted on a case-by-case basis for these circumstances. Any taxpayer that is impacted and needs an extension should contact our office at 601-923-7700.
