The IRS dropped a surprise on everyone in Mississippi late yesterday – relief on filing/payment deadlines through June 8 due the January storm. Details can be found in the IRS News Release MS-2026-1 – or talk with your adviser. It may impact a payment/filing you have due today (if you’ve not yet made it).

Also, the Mississippi Department of Revenue announced this morning they’ll follow the same relief, applicable to filing and paying individual income tax returns, corporate income and franchise tax returns, pass-through entity tax returns and quarterly estimated payments that were originally due during
this period. Again, talk to your adviser.
