Important Changes for Healthcare Marketplace Recipients

Starting August 25, 2025, marketplaces can no longer offer income-based Special Enrollment Periods (SEPs). Additionally, Premium Tax Credits will not be available for SEP enrollees starting January 1, 2026. The 400% Federal Poverty Level income limit for enhanced Premium Tax Credits also expires at the end of 2025.

To stay covered and avoid tax surprises, enroll or renew during Open Enrollment, review your projected 2026 income, and contact us if your income is variable. Planning ahead is crucial before 2026, when these changes take effect. ⸻
