Last night at the 2026 Community Appreciation Awards by the United Labor Council of Reading & Berks, I was honored to stand among leaders, workers, and community members who continue to shape the strength and future of our region.

It was a privilege to present an award to Jhosmar Solano , founder of Bellas Sweet, whose resilience, discipline, and unwavering commitment to his community exemplify what it means to build with purpose. Since 2019, he has not only created a business, but a space that reflects opportunity, service, and perseverance.

As a business owner myself, I understand firsthand the sacrifices, uncertainties, and challenges that come with building something from the ground up. Jhosmar’s journey is a testament to the power of hard work, vision, and community-centered leadership.

Recognizing individuals like him reminds us that strong communities are built by those who rise, persist, and give back.

TAX SEASON 2025 IS AROUND THE CORNER!
Let’s talk about a surprising truth in taxation: it’s not just what you earn — it’s how you use it. 🤔📊

LA TEMPORADA DE IMPUESTOS 2025 ESTA A LA VIELTA DE LA ESQUINA!

Hablemos de una verdad sorprendente en materia de impuestos: no se trata solo de lo que ganas, sino de cómo lo usas. 🤔📊

Unrealized gains are increases in the value of an asset that you haven’t sold yet, so the IRS cannot tax them until the gain becomes “realized.”

But here’s the powerful part:

You can use unrealized gains as collateral—without paying taxes.

If your investments or property have appreciated, you can borrow against that value through a line of credit, equity loan, or margin loan. Because a loan is not income, accessing that money does not trigger capital gains tax.

This strategy allows you to:

✔️ Keep the asset
✔️ Avoid selling
✔️ Avoid taxes (for now)
✔️ Use the money to purchase more assets

In simple terms:

You can leverage the growth without realizing the gain.

This is one of the most powerful wealth-building strategies in the U.S. tax system.

Yesterday, festivity was truly in the air!
The City of Reading Christmas Parade went on—rain or no rain—and I was thrilled to take part through my business, RAAM Enterprises, Inc., while also participating in a personal capacity in front of the business.

The joy, the energy, the music, and the community spirit made me feel like a kid again. I was completely in the Christmas mood! 🎄❤️🎅

A special shout-out to the Reading police officers for helping me get safely to the lineup. Your support was truly appreciated.🤗🤗🙏🙏🤗🤗

Ayer, la festividad realmente se sentía en el aire.
La Parada Navideña de la Ciudad de Reading siguió adelante—lloviera o no—y me emocionó participar a través de mi negocio, RAAM Enterprises, Inc., mientras también caminaba personalmente al frente del mismo.
