IRS Announces Start Date For The New Tax Filing Season. The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has announced that tax season will open on Monday, January 27, 2020. The IRS will begin accepting paper and electronic tax returns that day.

The IRS announced that it is expanding its identity protection personal identification number (IP PIN) program to taxpayers in seven additional states.

Tax season is here and in full swing! One thing to consider is if you are claiming a dependent on your tax return, do you have life insurance? In most cases, it's relatively inexpensive and protects the people that depend on you. If you don't currently work with an agent you trust, I would be happy to make an introduction.
