Change is one of the hardest things we can do as human beings. It requires us to step outside our comfort zone and confront our fears and insecurities.

But change is also essential for growth and progress. Without change, we become stagnant and complacent, tempted to settle for a life that's less than we deserve.

So what does it take to change? It takes courage, determination, and a willingness to take risks.

It takes a clear vision of what you want to achieve and a plan for how to get there. It takes support from family, friends, and mentors who believe in you and your potential.

And most of all, it takes a belief in yourself—a deep, unshakeable conviction that you are capable of achieving greatness.

So if you're feeling stuck or unhappy in your life, ask yourself—what would it take for you to change? Will it be the power of your vision? Your discontent with the present? Both?

Whatever it is, know that you have the power to make it happen. With the right mindset, tools, and support, you can work to create a life that's filled with purpose and joy.

The median cost of a private room in a nursing home hit an average of $9,733 monthly, underscoring the necessity of financial planning for long-term care. These expenses can quickly erode retirement savings, making it vital to consider insurance and savings strategies tailored to your needs.

Engage a financial professional to discuss how you can prepare for these potential costs effectively.

Many workers assume their workplace life insurance is “enough.” But here’s the reality most people don’t realize:

⚠️ Median coverage = $20,000 or 1x salary.
⚠️ 49% of families with only workplace coverage would face hardship within 6 months of losing a wage earner.

Workplace benefits are a good start — but they were never designed to be the full solution. They don’t replace a parent’s income, pay off a mortgage, or cover a child’s education. Too often, families discover the gap only after it’s too late.

That’s why How Money Works: Stop Being a Sucker teaches the principle of protect first, then grow. Our mission is to help families see the difference between what they think they have and what they actually need.

If your only coverage comes from work, it might be time to take a closer look. Your family’s security shouldn’t depend on a benefit that was meant to be supplemental.

At some point in our lives, we have all encountered the question, "What do you want to be when you grow up?" and most of us answered with a fairytale-like dream job or career.

Some of us, for example, wanted to be in the NBA 🏀, on Broadway 🎭, or even become an astronaut 🪐.

But as we grow older, we often find ourselves drifting away from those childhood dreams and settling for what is "realistic" or "practical." We are told to be more practical, to choose a career that will bring in a stable income and provide us with security.

As an entrepreneur, it's essential to never lose sight of your dreams and always dare to dream bigger. The entrepreneurship journey may not be easy, but nothing worth having ever is. It takes courage, determination and a strong mindset to realize your dreams.

So why not take that leap of faith and start chasing your dreams today? Remember, every successful entrepreneur was once just a dreamer with a vision.

Dare to dream and make it happen. The possibilities are endless if you dare to chase them.

Thinking about a side-gig? Then you need a game-plan, preferably BEFORE you get started.

And that game-plan has details few consider.

Do you know exactly who your client base will be? Do you know their vacation spots, their dreams, their ages, how many kids they probably have?

Can you count on someone to help manage the mountain of paperwork that’s about to appear on your desk? (If that’s you, do you have time for these administrative tasks?)

Do you have experts lined up that can advise you on business taxes, any compliance issues, insurance, etc.?

What about a sales process that you know inside and out that you can teach to your next employee?

For most entrepreneurs, these considerations are where they miss the mark. They take a “build it as you need it approach.” They wait to encounter a problem, and everything is put on hold until that problem gets fixed. The business withers, but the problem lingers.

So before you start a side-gig, do your research. Create a plan. Find a mentor or system you can plug into. Your future self is sure to thank you!
