In or Out Tax Service Inc

In or Out Tax Service Inc We are a small business specializing in individual and small business accounting and tax preparation There is a story behind our name.

When Eve decided to open her own tax practice, she thought of her grandmother and mentor. Her grandmother, Evelyn Johnston owned her own hair salon. It was called In or Out Beauty Salon. You could come to her or she would go to your home or hospital if you couldn't come to her. Eve decided she would model her tax service business in the same way. So, she proudly took the name In or Out Tax Service

for her company. Eve was taking care of her grandmother when she started In or Out Tax Service and when she told her grandmother what she was doing her grandmother was thrilled. Thus will be our 21st tax season. We provide tax preparation for individuals and small businesses. We solve IRS tax problems for customers and also provide payroll services. Please call or email us to make an appointment.

Worth repeating!

PSA: if you are a sole proprietor (self employed,) you do not need to be a LLC (Limited Liability Company) to deduct business expenses! There are other reasons to organize as one, but that isn’t one of them. Talk to a tax expert before you make this decision.

Juneteenth is an often overlooked event in our nation’s history. On June 19, 1865, Union troops freed enslaved African Americans in Galveston Bay and across Texas some two and a half years after President Abraham Lincoln signed the Emancipation Proclamation.

I was just doing a self employment 101 consultion with a client who is newly self employment and when going over the standard business milage rate, I pondered if it would be raised due to the higher cost of gas now. Then, I get a notice from IRS that starting 7/1/22, the standard mileage rate for business use is 62.5 cents a mile up from 58.5 and the rate for medical mileage is 22 cents a mile, up from 18. Charitable mileage purposes remain at 14 cents.

In response to rising gas prices, the IRS increased the standard mileage rates used for calculating business deductions.
