The end of the year is near!
Well at least we didn't get a nasty storm come through. A much needed break for our area. I hope everyone has had a good year, and we look forward to seeing our clients this tax season.
Some moves to consider before the year is up.
Maximize your retirement contributions or put money into your IRAs.
Max out your HSA account. The HSA may be the BEST retirement savings tool there is...even better than a ROTH IRA. If you can set one up do so. Fidelity has a great spot for HSAs. Just go online and set one up if you have a qualified health insurance high deductible plan.
Speaking of health insurance. Without ACA subsidies some may be looking for help. Michelle from United Healthcare can give you a quick quote. Easy to do.

We get nothing to refer her. It is just to help people looking for health insurance
Consider rolling over some of your IRA money to a Roth if you are in the 12% tax level, and it doesn't cause your Social Security to get taxed much. So many future benefits Roth IRAs offer. If you are in a higher tax level, it may not benefit you as much.
Businesses can look to buy equipment, and make necessary expenditures this year
This is the last year we can take an energy tax credit for you. New AC, windows, doors, etc
We will need banking information so please have it available when we do your tax returns.
Check your W4s at work. Withholdings are all over the place. You may have to make an adjustment to it if they are not taking out enough for your taxes. You can always have them take out more if you need to.
My assistant Jen will be helping me with my overflow again this year. She is terrific and clients love her. I review the work, and you still have full access to myself during the year.
Our tax season will be condensed back to normal. The last 4 years we got extra time to get tax returns done. We were able to take in many new clients. This year we won't have as much time, but for now....we are still taking in new clients.
You can book online on our website or just drop off your taxes anytime M-F 10-4.
Remember we moved. Our new location is next door to the Wawa's Convenient store by Midway and 41. Just be very careful pulling in and out of our parking lot. There are a LOT of pedestrians walking and biking on the sidewalk.
Dawn and Jen are getting good auto and home rates for insurance. If you want a quote before the busy tax season starts give them a call. 941-235-2474. They would appreciate your business.
We only have about a month left for us to do the IAN Casualty Loss. We are only charging $250 for it (if we did the original tax return). Other places are charging $800 for it. Many people are getting thousands back for it. We will let you know if it is worth it to you. Just call. I don't want you spending money if it isn't worth it to you!
If you would like to have a year-end check up to see where you may be at, you can set up a nominal $49 tax consultation. We have had several new people save thousands with some tax moves. It was well worth the $49 meeting.
We wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
