The Meigs County Chamber of Commerce was happy to attend a special presentation recognizing the generosity of the AEP Ohio Foundation for their recent $10,000 donation to the Mulberry Community Center. The donation will help support the center’s food pantry and the many important services they provide to residents throughout our community.
Representatives from both AEP and the Mulberry Community Center were present for the presentation, and guests were given a tour of the facility to learn more about the center’s impact in Meigs County. The Mulberry Community Center continues to play a huge role in helping local families through programs and services such as their thrift store, shower and laundry facilities, Kids Backpack Program, and much more.
The Mulberry Thrift Store is open Tuesday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Mulberry Kountry Kitchen serves meals every Tuesday and Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for just $4.00 per meal, with dine-in and carry-out available. Wednesdays feature Soup Day and Bingo during the same hours, offering both fellowship and support to community members.
The Meigs County Chamber loves seeing our Chamber members helping local organizations that make a difference in the lives of others. Thank you to AEP Ohio for investing in our community and supporting the important work being done at the Mulberry Community Center.
The Mulberry Community Center is located at 236 Mulberry Avenue in Pomeroy. They are always looking for volunteers and donations to continue serving those in need. We encourage everyone to stop by, show them some love, and help keep this valuable organization thriving in Meigs County.
