Under the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA), the IRS has introduced a new tax deduction allowing eligible individuals to deduct up to $10,000 in interest paid on qualifying vehicle loans. This benefit is effective for tax years 2025 through 2028.

The IRS will open filing season at the end of January. I will be preparing returns again this year. Existing clients will recieve a 2025 Tax Prep checklist in the mail from me next week. Looking forward to another successfully tax year!

Yes I am preparing Tax Returns for clients this year. Yes, I have been through a lot over the last month and still working through the grieving process, but I must work as part of my healing. So please contact me so I can get started. I will take new clients if time permits.

IRS e-file opens on Monday January 23rd. I was a little late sending out the 2022 Tax Year letters. Existing clients should receive a letter from me this week. Email or call me for an appointment.

IR-2022-201, November 17, 2022 — The Internal Revenue Service today reminded IRA owners age 70½ or over of their option to transfer up to $100,000 to charity tax-free each year.

Tax Season is just around the corner! The IRS will start accepting tax returns on January 24, 2023. Congrats to my colleague, Cayman Cook on accepting a position with Major, Morrison and David, in New Roads Louisiana.
