It is now time to file the 2011 Annual Report for all business entities (Corporations and LLC's formed prior to 1/1/2011) to maintain "active" status with the Division of Corporations. The report is due by May 1st. Annual Reports filed after May 1st will be assessed a $400.00 late fee, which cannot be waived. No Excuses!

Last weekend to work on returns before deadline. Get your returns in! You have until Monday to get everything in the mail provided the postmark on the envelope shows the 18th. Remember no extensions for tax due!

Notifying all businesses! Next tax deadline for the state of FL is the tangible personal property tax return due on April 1st. The state requires you to file this return for all tangible personal property on location (in AND out of service). There is a $25,000 exemption, but you must file in the first year of business to enact it. Penalties for not filing can be significant. Contact us if you have any questions.

Tax day, usually April 15th is now extended until the 18th, giving you three additional days to file. Start preparing now; it will come sooner than you think. Also, for those filing extensions, remember, just because you file an extension doesn't mean that the tax due is extended as well. The IRS expects their check on April 18th! If you have any questions, contact us.
