The order of your investment returns matters just as much as the returns themselves.

Here's a simple example. Two retirees, each starting with $1 million, withdrawing $50,000 a year, and averaging a 6% return over 20 years. The only difference is timing.

- Retiree A hits a market downturn in year 10, after several strong early years. Finished with over $1.2 million.

- Retiree B faces a 25% drop in year 2, right out of the gate. Runs out of money by year 18.

Same portfolio and same average return, yet completely different outcomes.

This is called sequence-of-returns risk, and it's why when you retire can matter just as much as how much you've saved.

The corner office, strategic decisions, the weight of leadership.

Changing jobs at the executive level is one of the most exciting yet financially complex moments of your career.

Before you sign anything, consider these questions:

1. What rights are you giving up in your severance agreement?

2. What happens to unvested equity?

3. Is a direct rollover the right move for your 401(k)?

4. How are you handling the gap in healthcare coverage?

At this level, having the wrong answers can mean leaving significant money on the table or creating tax consequences that follow you for years.

If a transition is on your horizon, let’s prepare your financial plan for the shift.

A new job offer is exciting, but the financial details that come with it are a little more complicated.

Vesting schedules, rollover decisions, severance agreements, and benefits aren't small items, and you shouldn’t wait until you're settled in to take them into consideration.

Here is a quick guide for executives making a career move. Read it before you make yours.

The things you own depreciate. The experiences you invest in tend to do the opposite.

As summer gets closer, it's a natural time to think about what you actually want to do with your money this season. For some, that's a family trip; for others, it's a home upgrade, a new hobby, or something they've been putting off.

There's no universal right answer. The question that matters is whether your spending actually reflects your priorities, or whether it's just happening by default. Intentional spending looks different for everyone, so the goal is simply to make sure yours is pointing in a direction you chose.

Today is the last day of voting!

At Attitude Financial, we believe attitude shapes how we respond, grow, and move forward—and that belief inspired the “Attitude Is Everything” T-Shirt Design Contest with Plainview-Old Bethpage High School.

Plainview-Old Bethpage High School art students created original T-shirt designs centered around resilience, positivity, and confidence, with the winning student receiving scholarship funds and their design printed for the school community.

The submissions are incredibly creative and inspiring, and we’d love your help choosing a winner! Take a moment to view the designs, read the students’ inspiration behind them, and vote for your favorite here: https://pollunit.com/en/polls/attitudefinancial-tshirtcontest

Today, we pause to honor the men and women who gave everything in service to this country. Memorial Day is a day to remember the names and faces behind that sacrifice, and to be grateful for the freedoms their courage made possible.
