ATTENTION EMPLOYERS: Reminder of important due dates: ​

- W-2s are due to employees by February 2​

- Paper and electronic W-2s are due to the Department of Revenue (DOR) by February 2​

- Any employer that files more than 10 W2s/1099s must file electronically​

- Paper 1099s (less than 10) and electronic 1099s are due to DOR by March 2​

E-file starts on January 26th, however, Forms such as W2 and 1099s are not available until the end of January in many cases. Ensure you have all your tax documents before filing.

The announced Monday, January 26, 2026, as the opening of the nation’s 2026 filing season. You will have until Wednesday, April 15, 2026, to file your 2025 tax returns and pay any tax due. Don’t forget that IRS.gov has online tools and resources you can use before, during and after filing your federal tax return. Scam alert from MS Department of Revenue.

Scam Alert: Phishing Scams Target Mississippi Taxpayers via Text Message ​

The Mississippi Department of Revenue is warning Mississippi taxpayers of ongoing nationwide text scams that are hitting our state. ​

The department has received reports of a scam targeting taxpayers through text messages that appear to be from the Department of Revenue or the Department of Motor Vehicles and may state that your refund has been approved and ask for payment information and/or include a warning regarding unpaid traffic violations, outstanding toll charges, or fines owed. ​

These scams are designed to trick you into providing personal details, banking information and/or credit card information. ​

These texts are NOT from the Mississippi Department of Revenue and are NOT LEGITIMATE. The department will NEVER request payment or request personal banking information via text message. ​

If you receive one of these phishing texts, take the following action: ​
• Do not click on any links in the text ​
• Do not respond to the text ​
• Delete the text​

Due to the current threat of COVID-19 and our concern for our clients, our offices are still open, but starting today, Tuesday March 24th, our office hours will temporarily be changing to 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and we will be closed for lunch from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.

-For those needing to supply their tax documents for preparation: we will have a drop box at the counter or they can be sent by fax (601-798-8629), mail delivery services (100 Goodyear Blvd., Picayune, MS 39466) or by email through a secure portal that we will provide a link to, upon request ([email protected]).

-For those whose returns are complete: we can accept e-signatures for individual returns and signing and scanning via email through a secure portal for all other types of returns. Faxing is another option for any type of return. We can discuss these options when you are notified that your return is complete.

To protect our clients' safety, as well as our own, we will be limiting visitors in our lobby to one client (or couple) at a time, so please call ahead and tell us when you plan to arrive (601-798-8148). We will be wiping down the counter and door handle in between clients and using a new pen for each client.

Additionally, we can come out to your car for either drop-offs and pick-ups if you call and let us know that you are here.

We truly value our clients and hope and pray that each and every one of you and your families all stay safe during this difficult time.
