📬 If you received an IRS letter like this take a breath. You’re okay.
Getting mail from the IRS can feel scary, but this does NOT automatically mean something was done wrong on your tax return. The IRS sends out notices like this every year, especially for returns that include dependents, Head of Household filing status, or certain credits.
Their wording can sound intense that’s just how the IRS communicates. This is NOT an audit, NOT a bill, and NOT an accusation.
✅ If your return is accurate, you likely don’t need to do anything.
⚠️ If there’s something that needs to be corrected, addressing it quickly can prevent future issues.
👉 If you filed with me and received this letter, send it over so we can review it together and make sure everything is in order.
Bottom line:
This letter does NOT mean your tax preparer made a mistake. It simply means the IRS is doing a routine double-check.
