Are you just "doing the books," or are you providing real value?
If you want to move from "vendor" to "trusted advisor," consider I call Value Added Services (VAS). It doesn’t have to cost anything extra, rather it will strengthen professional relationships.
Here are some of my VAS strategies;:
Proactive Solutions: Offer insights before your client even asks.
Guidance: Help them navigate the tools they need to scale (example, maximizing Clio and QuickBooks online integrations).
Offer Expertise : By handling complex tasks like IOLTA compliance and three-way reconciliations, you build great confidence.
Open Communication: Let clients know they can come to you with any business question, not just data entry issues.
I recently created a Clio and Quickbooks Online integration checklist for my clients—a small gesture that provided immediate, high-level value.
