💭 One thing many people don’t realize about tax season this year…
Your tax documents may not look like tax documents anymore.
Over the next few weeks, many taxpayers will receive W-2s and 1099s, but increasingly these documents are being delivered through online portals, email notifications, or alternative formats instead of traditional mail.
This is creating confusion for many people who assume they “haven’t received everything yet.”
At the same time, new deductions like No Tax on Tips, No Tax on Overtime, and No Tax on Car Loan Interest may require additional documentation and a new IRS form (Schedule 1-A).
What this means:
✔ You may need to check multiple portals and accounts
✔ Some tax information may not look like the forms you’re used to
✔ Organization is more important than ever this tax season
As tax professionals, our job is not just to file returns — it's to help clients navigate changes, maximize deductions, and stay compliant.
If you haven't started organizing your documents yet, now is the time.
