It's not all about the bookkeeping. Becky Buhler & I took an hour during our "busy season" to speak with Andre', Briana, & Matt about the basics (and not so basic) of starting a business. Briana already has a small business that she shared with us. Andre's interest peaked when we talked about Marketing. Looking forward to see who walks away from this program with the $5000 to start up their own! Thank you to the Boys & Girls Club and Dawn Viola Perez for the invite to speak with these future (& current) entrepreneurs!

The Teen Center newest program Shark Tank is off to a great start. The goal of this program is to create new business owners and provide Club Members with all the tools they would need to successfully start and sustain a business. This is an 8 week program and at the end Club Members will compete in a Shark Tank style competition. The winning Club Member will receive $5000 towards their business start up. Classes run every Tuesday and Thursday 3:30-4:30 We currently have spots available for this program. Interested High schoolers can apply at the Teen Center 202 E Julia St.
