We are seeking a detail-oriented, client-focused Estate Planning Consultant based in or familiar with Florida to join our growing team and help clients navigate complex estate structures with confidence.
Role Overview
As an Estate Planning Consultant at Claim My Legacy, you will serve as a key technical and consultative resource for our Florida operations. You will analyze existing estate documents, map out family asset flowcharts, and collaborate with our Legacy Specialists and partner attorneys to design and present personalized legacy strategies tailored to Florida statutory requirements (including homestead rules, tax structures, and probate avoidance).
Key Responsibilities
Estate Document Reviews:
Thoroughly review revocable and irrevocable trusts, wills, Florida power of attorney forms, healthcare surrogates, and ancillary documents.
Detail existing structures and build clear, visual flowcharts illustrating asset distribution upon death or incapacity.
Legacy & Asset Protection Strategy:
Collaborate with Florida-licensed estate planning attorneys and Legacy Specialists to identify opportunities for asset protection, tax minimization, and probate avoidance.
Account for state-specific nuances, such as Florida Homestead exemption implications and multi-generational trust structures.
Help design proposed master flowcharts depicting customized legacy plan structures for clients.
Case Management & Workflow Ex*****on:
Efficiently manage assigned client cases through every stage of the estate review process.
Ensure document summaries and deliverables are completed with precision and on schedule.
Client & Team Collaboration:
Communicate directly with Legacy Specialists, partner attorneys, and clients to address questions and clearly explain proposed strategy options.
Qualifications & Competencies
Experience: 3+ years of experience in estate planning, trust administration, or legal document analysis (Florida estate planning experience highly preferred).
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of revocable living trusts, sub-trusts, wills, powers of attorney, and core Florida estate/probate considerations.
Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to analyzing complex legal structures and summarizing terms accurately.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for breaking down intricate legal concepts into plain, accessible language for families and seniors.
Education & Credentials (Preferred): Certified Paralegal, Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent practical experience in Florida estate planning.
