🐶🐾Meet Jordan Speed🐾🐶

Jordan is a Senior Tax Associate in our Pensacola office.

Jordan absolutely loves her dog Bear, and her favorite thing about him is his gentleness and sweet disposition. According to Jordan, “Bear is a true angel on earth.” We are all excited when Bear gets to come visit us at the office.

We asked Jordan two questions. The first question was, if you could live anywhere, where would that be? She said, “I would live somewhere with lots of mountains: maybe Canada, Wyoming, London, Germany, or Switzerland.” The second question was, what food is your least favorite? She said: “I don't care for hot sauce or overly spicy food.” 🌶️🌶️🌶️

We are very happy to have Jordan (and Bear) on our team.

🌀 Tax Relief for Hurricane Helene Victims 🌀

The IRS has granted tax relief to individuals and businesses impacted by Hurricane Helene in Florida and other states, extending various filing and payment deadlines to May 1, 2025. This includes tax returns and estimated payments due after September 23, 2024.

The UWF Lewis Bear Jr. College of Business held its annual Meet the Firms event recently, where our firm presented two scholarships to outstanding UWF accounting students, Grant Mills and Austin Delcher.

🎾🏆 Meet Sebastian Sotelo 🏆🎾

Sebastian has been playing tennis all his life, which led him from Argentina to the University of West Florida on an athletic and academic scholarship. While earning his Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and maintaining a 4.0 GPA, he helped the UWF tennis team win the GSC conference tournament—a huge accomplishment and achievement for Sebastian, his teammates, and the UWF.

In August 2024, Sebastian joined our team at Jones & Co. He’s currently studying for the CPA exam and plans to return to UWF to complete his master’s degree in accounting in the fall of 2025.

We are super happy to have Sebastian on our team of champions!
