Beginning with the 2025 tax year, up to $5,000 of the Adoption Tax Credit may be refundable per eligible child!

💰 What does refundable mean?

Even if you don't owe taxes, you may still be able to receive some or all of the refundable portion as part of your tax refund — up to $5,000.

⚠️ This does NOT mean everyone will receive $5,000. Your refund could be less depending on your qualified expenses, income, eligibility, and individual tax situation.

If you adopted a child or had adoption-related expenses, make sure you tell your tax preparer! 💜

📣 Business Owners: Quarterly Payroll Reports Are Due Soon!

Third-quarter payroll reports for July–September 2026 are due Monday, November 2, 2026, since October 31 falls on a Saturday.

✅ Federal Form 941, if required
✅ Texas Workforce Commission quarterly wage report and unemployment tax payment

Please send us any missing payroll information promptly so we can complete your reports on time!

The IRS app has replaced IRS2Go and gives you an easy way to check your refund or amended return, view your balance, make payments, and access available tax records and IRS notices from your phone.

Already have IRS2Go? If automatic updates are on, the app will update for you.

🔒 Be careful of fake apps and links. Use the official download links at IRS.gov/help/app, and don’t click links in unexpected texts or emails claiming to be from the IRS.

As I work and listen to 9/11: 25 Years Later, my heart hurts for everyone who lost a loved one that day. Hearing people speak about losing their parents at such a young age is especially heartbreaking.
