This Article is about the Employee Retention Credit. There are companies out there approaching business owners telling them they qualify when they in fact do not. These companies charge a fee to do this. The Problem is when the IRS starts auditing these over the next several years, the company that prepared everything will be long gone and the business owners that did this will have to pay it all back along with Penalties and Interest!

Hearing you can get a tax credit worth up to $26,000 can make anyone think twice. But the IRS is warning that some bad advice could trip you up.
