When the Declaration of Independence was issued, the idea that “all men are created equal” was revolutionary. With this seminal document, the Founding Fathers unleashed an open-ended driving force that would shape modern history. Around the world, other countries have declared independence taking the US Declaration of 1776 as a model.

This traveling exhibition uses primary sources to illustrate how Americans and people across the world have been inspired by the Declaration in their pursuit of equality and self-determination. A special exhibit panel on “Kansas” in 1776 is also included.

This exhibition was brought to Park City through a partnership between Kansas Humanities, the City of Park City, and Park City Community PRIDE.

The PCAC has quite the lost and found collection from this pool season. They are doing a lost and found pickup on Saturday from 12-5 PM

📊 Official PCAC End-of-Summer Report

After a summer of extensive research, we've learned:

• Wet towels can survive indefinitely in the backseat of a vehicle.
• The phrase "just one more slide" has never once been accurate.
• Goggles have the same life expectancy as a single sock.
• Parents who say "we're leaving in five minutes" do not actually leave in five minutes.

Speaking of lost things...

Our Lost & Found has collected quite an impressive assortment of towels, goggles, water bottles, shoes, and mystery items over the summer. If you're missing something, now is the time to come claim it.

🕶️👟🧴 Lost & Found pickup will be available this Saturday from 12–5 PM at the East Concession Window.

Our final conclusion:

Summer is 90% counting down to opening day and 10% wondering how it's already over.

FREE microchip and vaccine clinic! Bring your cats and dogs to the Heartland Credit Union Arena starting at 10 AM to receive their DHPP (distemper-parvovirus vaccine) for dogs, Bordetella vaccine for dogs, FVRCP vaccine (panleukopenia & more) for cats, rabies shots for both cats and dogs, and microchips. Kittens will need to be at least 6 weeks old, and puppies at least 2 months old. It will be a walk-up clinic, so no registration will be needed.

The clinic will be limited to the first 200 animals and will be first-come, first-served. We would strongly recommend getting there EARLY! All dogs must be on a leash, and all cats must be in a carrier. Please have 1 handler per pet.
