FloridaCommerce Activates the Florida Small Business Emergency Bridge Loan Program, Making $10 Million Available for Businesses Impacted by Hurricane Isaias— Today, FloridaCommerce activated the Florida Small Business Emergency Bridge Loan Program, making $10 million available for businesses impacted by Hurricane Isaias. Florida small business owners in need of assistance are encouraged to visit www.FloridaJobs.org/DisasterRecovery/EBL to apply for the Florida Small Business Emergency Bridge Loan Program. Businesses in the following counties, including sole proprietors, are eligible to apply: Baker, Bay, Calhoun, Citrus, Columbia, Dixie, Escambia, Franklin, Gadsden, Gilchrist, Gulf, Hamilton, Hillsborough, Holmes, Jackson, Jefferson, Lafayette, Leon, Levy, Liberty, Madison, Okaloosa, Pasco, Pinellas, Santa Rosa, Suwannee, Taylor, Walton, Wakulla, and Washington Counties.

The program provides short-term, zero-interest loans to small businesses that experienced economic injury or physical damage due to Hurricane Isaias. Interested applicants can apply now through November 25, 2026, or until all available funds are exhausted.

Eligible small businesses may apply for loans of up to $100,000 through the program. Loans of up to $150,000 are available for agriculture and aquaculture small businesses. Loans approved through the Emergency Bridge Loan Program are intended to “bridge the gap” between the time a disaster impacts a business and when a business has secured longer term recovery funding, such as federally or commercially available loans, insurance claims, or other resources.

Loans made under this program are short-term, zero-interest, personal loans using State of Florida funds. They are not grants and loans must be repaid by the approved applicant.

FloridaCommerce administers the Emergency Bridge Loan Program alongside its fiscal administrator, Florida First Capital Finance Corporation.

Visit FloridaJobs.org/DisasterRecovery/EBL to learn more about the program, view the lending guidelines and required documentation, and complete an application by the November 25, 2026, deadline. Business owners who need further program information may call 833-832-4494 Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Eastern Time or email [email protected] .

If you need additional assistance with your business, please call the private sector hotline at 850-815-4925, open daily, 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., or email [email protected].

On this 8th anniversary of Hurricane Michael, we are grateful that our community was spared the worst of Hurricane Isaias. But our neighbors to the west were not as fortunate.

We haven't forgotten the communities from all over the United States that came to our aid after Michael, and we're already looking ahead to how we can return that kindness. As soon as we can, we will mobilize resources to help our neighbors to our west begin their recovery.

Here at home, the work of assessing damage and cleaning up is under way. Some areas of Bay County were hit harder than others, particularly the West End of Panama City Beach, and we know many residents and businesses are dealing with damage, power outages, fallen trees and debris. Our crews are working to assess the impacts, clear roads and restore normal operations.

If your home or business sustained storm damage, please complete Bay County's damage assessment form:
https://arcg.is/OPqCP

This information helps us document storm impacts and supports reporting to FEMA. The form is separate from insurance claims and does not replace filing a claim with your insurance company.
As cleanup continues, please avoid unnecessary travel and give crews room to work. Stay away from downed power lines, standing water and debris, and treat intersections with nonworking traffic signals as four-way stops.

To our county and city employees, first responders, law enforcement officers, dispatchers, utility crews and community partners who have worked tirelessly before, during and after this storm, thank you.

And to our residents, thank you for looking out for one another. If Hurricane Michael taught us anything, it's the strength of this community and the importance of neighbors helping neighbors.

FloridaCommerce Activates Business Damage Assessment Survey to Measure Impact of Damage Caused by Hurricane Isaias—Today, FloridaCommerce and the State Emergency Response Team (SERT) activated the Business Damage Assessment Survey in response to Hurricane Isaias. Business owners can self-report physical and economic damage caused by Hurricane Isaias.

Survey responses will allow the state to expedite Hurricane Isaias recovery efforts by gathering data and assessing the needs of impacted businesses in counties affected by Hurricane Isaias.

Businesses can complete the survey online by visiting www.FloridaDisaster.biz and selecting “Hurricane Isaias” from the dropdown menu.

If you need additional assistance with your business, please call the private sector hotline at 850-815-4925, open daily, 24/7., or email [email protected].
