This month’s Employee Spotlight shines on Amanda, a Senior Tax Manager who has been with the Firm for two and a half years.
Amanda shares, “Since joining Apercen, I have experienced strong support from all directions including peers, team members, and specialty groups. I particularly appreciate how actively involved and supportive the partners are, regularly working side by side with the team on client issues and projects. The culture at Apercen encourages and fosters collaboration across all levels while also recognizing and valuing individual contributions and ownership.”
Through serving a diverse group of clients, Amanda is continually learning and embracing new challenges. By focusing on a select number of clients, she can dedicate the time and attention needed to stay current on their tax compliance matters and provide thoughtful, proactive guidance throughout the year.
Mentorship and professional development have always been personal passions for Amanda. She is grateful to work alongside and participate in the growth of hardworking and intellectually curious individuals who enjoy taking on new challenges. Jae, a Senior Tax Associate, shares, “Amanda, our Senior Manager, keeps projects moving. She connects with each junior member, offering mentorship and guidance, while expertly managing workload and workflow. The team wouldn't be the same without her leadership and support.”
As someone who prioritizes their well-being, Amanda says “The quality of life I have experienced since joining Apercen is exactly what I had hoped for. I feel heard and valued for my contributions, entrusted with autonomy over my schedule, and appreciate the opportunity to work remotely, from the beautiful Lowcountry of South Carolina.”
Outside of work, Amanda brings the same curiosity and energy to her personal life. She has explored many states across the U.S. and traveled to more than 25 countries, with a goal of visiting at least one new country each year. When she’s not exploring a new destination, Amanda enjoys soaking up time at the beach, heading out for daily walks or runs, and discovering Charleston’s newest restaurants and coffee shops.
