McMullen is not full of hot air when when we tell you:
1. Never go into debt to avoid paying taxes.
2. Always review your withholding mid-year to make sure you are on track.
3. If your wages are paid to you via 1099 you will owe taxes.
4. Child support is not tax deductible.
5. Entertainment expense is not deductible.

We certainly appreciate everyone who give towards the needs of others. It is a blessing for sure. However, donations to crowdfunding platforms are not tax deductible.

2026 tax season will allow our non-itemizers to claim CASH donations to approved charities. $1000 for single filers and $2000 for married filing jointly. Get the receipt. You will need it.

Once there was a group called “Charlie’s Angels”; three lovely ladies who worked with a guy to solve crimes & mysteries. They used their talents, skills and knowledge to thwart bad guys, discover the truth and bring things to a tight closure.

At McMullen Tax Service, Kimberly and John are blessed with four ladies who go above and beyond every day. They know the task at hand and meet it head on. Together they work hard, play hard and laugh harder. Couldn’t do life without them.
