Having a hard time getting your return filed by April 15? Filing an extension can give you more time to get your return done. There are a few ways you can request an extension. While you're paying your balance online, you can check the box that you're paying as part of filing for an extension. Another option is to use Free File. Anyone regardless of income can use Free File to file for an extension at no cost to you. Finally, you can request an extension by mail on Form 4868.

GRABC’s Owensboro site will be open for walk-ins from 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM to help individuals and families file their taxes completely FREE before the deadline!

Our IRS-certified volunteers provide trusted, no-cost tax preparation—helping you avoid fees that can range from $200–$500.

💰 You may qualify for valuable credits like:
• Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC)
• Child Tax Credit
These can increase your refund by hundreds or even thousands of dollars.

✔️ Who qualifies:
• Individuals & families earning up to $72,000
• No income limit for adults age 65+
• Disabled individuals
• Limited English
