What a magical 24 hours in Franklin, TN✨

So incredible to have been a part of and the amazing community of founders and leaders has built here.

I was honored to share my story from the stage and why it matters, especially as women, to bet on ourselves, build wealth, and win. 💖

You can make a great income and still not have a wealth plan. 👀

The paycheck is only step one.

What happens to the money after you earn it?

Are you turning it into assets?
Are you investing outside of your career?
Are you protecting what you’ve built?
Do you know what happens to those assets if something happens to you?
And have you built a team that’s actually helping you think strategically about all of it?

This week on Talk Wealthy to Me, I’m sitting down with estate planning + tax attorney Lauren Klein Lauren A. Klein, Esq., LL.M. 🖤 for a conversation that goes WAY beyond wills and trusts.

We’re talking about leaving the golden handcuffs of Big Law, building wealth outside your paycheck, real estate, tax strategy, estate planning, protecting your kids, and why women need to get a whole lot more comfortable talking about money with each other.

Because a successful career can create income.

But what you do with that income is what builds wealth. 💸

“Get comfortable with being uncomfortable.”

Because growth rarely happens in the places where you already feel confident.

Make the cold call.
Start the business.
Ask the question.
Talk about money.
Make the investment.
Walk into the room before you feel completely ready.

Laura Meyer built an 8-figure company by learning to move through discomfort instead of waiting for it to disappear.

And maybe that’s the reminder: you don’t have to feel ready. You just have to be willing to start.

Building wealth doesn’t have to feel like a giant list of things you should already know. 💕

You don’t need to understand every investment.
You don’t need to have the perfect financial plan.
You don’t need to wait until you’re making “more money” to start.

You just need to get curious.

Because building wealth isn’t about becoming a different person or suddenly turning into someone who loves spreadsheets. 😂

It’s about creating more choices.

More freedom to walk away.
More freedom to say yes.
More freedom to take the trip, start the business, slow down, help your kids, retire early—or simply sleep better at night knowing you’re good.

Let the thought of building wealth excite you, not scare you. 💸✨

And if you’re ready to make money feel a little less intimidating, you’re in the right place.

What if one of the biggest things holding women back financially isn’t a lack of information…but the fact that we still don’t TALK about money enough? 👀

Laura Meyer built Envision Horizons into an 8-figure business without outside funding. But one of my favorite parts of our conversation wasn’t just how she built the company.

It was how candidly we talked about money.

Investing.
Marriage.
Ambition.
Building a business.
Teaching our kids about money.
Getting rich vs. actually staying rich.
And why women need to start having these conversations with each other.

Laura said something I loved: Create the safe space and then have the conversation.

Because imagine if the group chat, book club, girls’ dinner, church group or dinner party wasn’t only where we talked about relationships, kids, work and life…

What if we also asked:

“What are you investing in?”
“What are you doing with your money?”
“What have you learned lately?”
“Where do I even start?”

No judgment. No comparison. No pretending anyone has it completely figured out.

Just women helping women become more financially informed and confident.

This episode is also such a refreshing look at entrepreneurship—the ambition AND the hard parts—and why building wealth has a whole lot more to do with resilience, ownership and consistency than any “get rich quick” strategy.

🎙️ My conversation with Laura Meyer is now live on Talk Wealthy to Me.

If you can spend 30 minutes imagining everything that could go wrong… you’re allowed to give the best-case scenario a little airtime too. 💭✨

What if the business works?

What if the investment pays off?

What if you make more money than you thought you could?

What if the opportunity you’re nervous to take becomes the one that changes everything?

What if the life you keep imagining isn’t unrealistic… it’s just unfamiliar?

We talk a lot about being realistic with money. And yes — have the plan, know the numbers, understand the risk.

But don’t become so focused on protecting yourself from the worst-case scenario that you never make room for the best one.

If you can overthink the worst, you can overthink the best too. 💕

Your business did $1M. $3M. $5M.

But how much of that success has actually made its way onto your personal balance sheet? 👀

Because revenue is exciting. Growth is exciting. Building a company that WORKS is a massive accomplishment.
But there comes a point when the goal has to shift from making the business richer to making the owner wealthy.

That means asking different questions:
What are you paying yourself?
What do you own outside the business?
How much liquidity do you have personally?
Are you investing for your future?
And how much of your net worth is tied up in one company?

There is absolutely a season for reinvesting heavily into your business.

But building years are supposed to end. Not the business. The season.

Your company can be an incredible asset. It just shouldn’t accidentally become your entire financial plan.

🎧 I’m breaking this ALL down on this week’s episode of Talk Wealthy to Me: Your Business Is Making Money. So Why Aren’t You Wealthy?

Send this one to your favorite woman in business. 💸🎀

You tell me your business did $3 million last year.

My first response?

HECK YES. 👏🏼

Because I know what it probably took to build that.

But my next question is the one I care about even more:

What did YOU make?

Not the business.

You.

What do you own outside of the company?

How much liquidity do you personally have?

How much are you investing?

What does your retirement look like?

And if your business disappeared tomorrow… what would still belong to you?

Because building a successful company and building personal wealth are two different things.

And there absolutely IS a season where putting everything back into your business makes sense.

But that season is supposed to end.

At some point, we have to shift from:

making the company richer → making the owner wealthy.

Your business can be an incredible asset.

It just shouldn’t accidentally become your entire financial plan.

Maybe the biggest flex isn’t the bag. It’s not needing the bag to prove anything. 👀

One of the most fascinating stories Michelle dug into for this month’s Wealthy Report is what’s happening in the luxury market right now.

The luxury customer base is shrinking. Wealthy buyers are making up a much larger share of spending. And at the same time, what high-income consumers consider “status” is shifting away from the obvious logo and toward things like experiences, craftsmanship, authenticity and longevity.

And we think there’s a bigger money conversation hiding underneath all of it:

When you actually have financial choice, you get to decide what luxury means to you.

Buy the beautiful bag because you LOVE the beautiful bag. Take the ridiculous vacation. Order the good w**e. Spend generously on the things that genuinely make your life better.

But maybe wealth is getting to a place where none of those purchases have to prove anything about you.

Michelle unpacked the luxury split + what it tells us about wealth in the October Wealthy Report.
