And all of a sudden
You were gone
It doesn’t matter if
our loved ones passed
after a prolonged illness,
or unexpectedly
It will always be ~
all of a sudden
And all of a sudden
our hearts literally stab
with agonizing pain …
Unable to breath
Unable to walk
And all of a sudden
we are different people
Not recognizing that person
in the mirror
And all of a sudden
we can’t function day to day
tasks without falling
And all of a sudden
we get back up …
with their guidance
and love
lifting us
from above
And all of a sudden
we realize we are
growing forward
And all of a sudden
we laugh without guilt
And all of a sudden
we hear their whisper ~
Just listen …
“I’ve only gone on
ahead of you, I’ll see you
when you get here”
And all of a sudden
we are living once more
Until we meet again …
