Hey there! It’s been busy and wanted to hop on and remind you tomorrow is tax day!! If you’ve dropped off your taxes and haven’t picked them up they are here and need signatures and payment before they are submitted. We are in the office until atleast 5 today and tomorrow.

Time got away from you and you need an extension to file? No problem! Call the office and we will be happy to assist you.

Good evening! Just a little update, we are currently booking into mid March. The quickest most efficient way to get your taxes prepared is to drop off or submit to me electronically using our secure portal. These we can turn around much quicker. Need a link to the secure portal? Reach out and we are happy to help. Drop offs can be done any time the building is open with the drop box outside my door in the community center.

A few good nuggets of tax savings available this year including a deduction on new vehicle loan interest for vehicles purchased 2025-2028.

You must be the first owner, for personal use, and final assembly completed in the US. AND you do not need to itemize to get this deduction!

To verify final assembly, check one of these:
The vehicle label at the dealership
The vehicle identification number (VIN)
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration https://vpic.nhtsa.dot.gov/decoder/

If you receive overtime compensation, please include your last paystub with your tax documents as many w2s will not include the needed information until 2026

A huge thank you to those dropping items off and sharing the information!! First week of the food drive has been great!!! I will make room on the table today as there is still plenty of time to drop items off.

We have a table inside the Orland Community and Fitness Center and will be distributing to our local food pantries and families in need experiencing food insecuity.

Be prepared to have direct deposit as paper checks are phased out for refunds

IR-2025-94, Sept. 23, 2025 — The Internal Revenue Service, working with the U.S. Department of the Treasury, today announced that paper tax refund checks for individual taxpayers will be phased out beginning on Sept. 30, 2025, as required by Executive Order 14247, to the extent permitted by law.
