Back in 1996, this TIAA-CREF ad made some bold predictions. They said that 30 years later—in 2026—a burger and fries would cost $16, a vacation would cost $12,500, and a basic car would cost $65,000.

Guess what? They were pretty much right on two out of three. ✅

🍔 That burger and fries? You'll pay $16 at many restaurants today.

✈️ That vacation? Yep, $12,500 sounds about right for a nice family trip.

🚗 The car? Well, we're not at $65K for a basic car yet, but the average new car still costs over $47,000—way higher than most people expected back in 1996.

What this ad shows is....inflation is real. 📈
