Hi, Oddly enough, this hiatus from work is interestingly convenient for the ability to celebrate Passover? So I would like to share a few thoughts about it.
Beginning today at 6:00 Wednesday, April 8, 2020 to Thursday April 16th at nightfall is the week of Passover, and it holds some very interesting insights and meanings in this most unusual year. Since we need to have a way of avoiding the “Corona Virus death angel”, it might be a good idea to learn more about this amazing Holy Convocation. Here is a little insight regarding it:
Passover means “Protection” and refers to the Passing over of Israel by the angel of death, if the blood of the Passover Lamb was on the doorpost of their homes” . The description of the event and subsequent Holy Convocation, or Holy Days, is described from Exodus chapters 12 & 13 and through the whole bible in over 75 different passages all the way to the book of Hebrews, chapter 11 in the New Testament. The Savior, Jesus Christ, gave his life for us as the “Passover Lamb” to make a way of forgiveness, protection and the access to eternal life by his life, death and Resurrection. Interestingly His life, death and resurrection is one of the most Legally Provable events in History, and our very Calendar reflects the calculation of time from his birth to the present time. No one else in history has ever had that honor. Passover has long been ignored by Christianity via the Catholic Church due to the substitution of it for a Christianized Pagan holiday, the Feast of Estarte, “Easter’ and the Rights of Spring that coincides approximately each year to Passover. A general hatred of all things Jewish by the 3rd century Roman government brought this substitution about. However, it is stated in a large number of verses that this is a Holy time that was a permanent statute for those who worship the God of Creation, Forever. As a Christian, we are by faith made a part of the Commonwealth of Israel, and because of that we have access to the Blessings and promises to Israel and the believers in Jesus Christ as their Savior and Messiah. It is not just for the Jews, but for all of Israel, and if you are a Christian, you are grafted into Israel, and are an adopted into the Tribe of Judah as a fellow heir of the Kingdom of Heaven with Jesus Christ, in Hebrew: Yahshua the Messiah. He was our Passover Lamb and fulfilled this holy day to the letter, to the day and the hour by his death on the day of Passover. Part of the Week of Passover is the Feast of Unleavened bread, (Matzo) which represents that no yeast or leaven which represents sin was found in him: In 1st Corinthians 5:7 it states “Therefore purge out the old leaven, that you may be a new lump, since you truly are unleavened. For indeed Christ, our Passover, was sacrificed for us.
By this he fulfilled the feast of unleavened Bread by living a perfect life, without sin, and therefore was a worthy sacrifice for mankind. In Mark 14, the Jewish priests plotted to Kill him because he represented an end to their rule and priesthood and would make all who believe and serve him a “Kingdom of Kings and Priests, forever. (Revelation 1:5-6). “After two days it was the Passover and the Feast of Unleavened Bread. And the chief priests and the scribes sought how they might take Him by trickery and put Him to death.” (Mark 14:1)
But his death and resurrection spells life for us who believe in him and accept his life in payment for ours. In Hebrews 10:19-25 it is described how and why his sacrifice was for our good: 19 Therefore, brethren, having boldness[f] to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, 20 by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh, 21 and having a High Priest over the house of God, 22 let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. 23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. 24 And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, 25 not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.
For this reason God gave us his only Begotten Son, which means his only son born of woman, To redeem us and give us eternal life. In John 3:16-17 it is explained: 16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
Perhaps in this time of world wide turmoil and intrigue, we should consider that he is giving us an opportunity to change our ways and turn our country back to what it was founded for. This is summed up in 2 Chronicles, 7:13-14:13 When I shut up heaven and there is no rain, or command the locusts to devour the land, or send pestilence among My people, 14 if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.
We are entering one of the most biblically significant events of the year! It is a part of your spiritual heritage that God designed as His own Holy Days with specific instructions given for their observance. One of the most exciting, life-changing, miracle-working seasons of the whole year – the Passover, Easter, and Resurrection Season!
The upcoming holy season of Passover –is the first of God’s three biblically significant commanded feast seasons or celebrations instituted by God himself to eternally honor Him!! They are God’s APPOINTED HOLY DAYS with very specific instructions by Him for their observance recorded
God told Moses in Exodus 12:24: “And you shall observe this thing as an ordinance …FOREVER!” (It has never been rescinded, reduced or eliminated)
In Exodus 12:13 God declared: “Now the blood shall be a sign for you on the houses where you are. And when I see the blood, I will pass over you; and the plague shall not be on you to destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt.”
