It's that time of year again, but being prepared for the tax season will keep you from being stressed out!
For Individuals:
Due to the tax code changes in 2018 most families will not need to save up as many receipts to itemize as the standard deduction offers a much better deduction. You will still need to wait for your W-2's, any 1099's , (pensions, unemployement, stock portfolios, etc), student tuition, childcare expenses, and any other miscellaneous forms you may be expecting.
Now is the best time to schedule an appointment to have your tax work prepared, usually following the end of January, as everyone will be calling at the same time calling early for an appointment will assure you of having your taxes done earlier than later & hopefully to receive a refund!
Businesses:
As a reminder to anyone that has a Corporation, Partnership or S-Corp.... You're filing due date is March 15th, you will be considered late if you file after that time, if necessary file for an extension prior to or by the 15th of March. If necessary if there is the possibility of tax due (C-Corps ) it should be sent in with the extension request as the extension does not prevent failure to pay penalties if there is a tax due.
Time is of the essence to get appointments for your tax work to be completed in a timely manner, call as soon as possible to schedule your appointment.
