New Savings Program for Eligible Children

A new federal savings program, known as Trump Accounts, is now available for eligible children born between January 1, 2025, and December 31, 2028.

The program provides a one-time $1,000 government contribution into a tax-advantaged investment account for qualifying children. Family members, employers, and certain organizations may also make additional contributions, subject to annual contribution limits.

These accounts are intended to encourage long-term savings and can be invested with the goal of helping children build financial security as they grow.

If your family welcomed a child during the eligibility period, it may be worthwhile to review the program's requirements and determine whether your child qualifies.

Learn more by visiting: https://trumpaccounts.gov/

As always, if you have questions about how this program may fit into your family's financial plan, our team is happy to help.

IRS Update: Penalty Relief Just Got Easier

The IRS has announced a new process that will automatically provide first-time penalty relief to eligible taxpayers, eliminating the need for many individuals and businesses to submit a separate request.

If you have a strong history of filing and paying your taxes on time, this change could make receiving penalty relief much simpler should you ever need it.

While not everyone will qualify, it's a welcome step toward reducing paperwork and streamlining the process for eligible taxpayers.
