Welcome! I’m Vina, the CEO/Founder of Divine Nonprofit Solutions LLC. My story starts around the age of 15 when I decided to take Accounting in my Junior year of high school. I had a passion for music and writing, but after falling in love with Accounting I knew it was going to become my major.
I went on to obtain my Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Hampton University and started working immediately. My first “real job” was at a local nonprofit where I worked on a budget with 26 cost centers. It was crazy, but I knew that I wanted to stay in the nonprofit industry opposed to going to a large firm.
Years later while working for one of the largest sustainable nonprofits in California, I became unhappy. I felt that I wasn’t making a contribution to the planet or my community. I got all the promotions and accolades, but I knew my days were limited because I was no longer running off passion. I realized that my passion was in the details, and I could go and help smaller organizations become sustainable with my experience. I wanted to maximize my impact!
