🍽️ MYTH OR FACT? 🤔

We've all heard a thing or two about business expenses, but how much of what we've heard is actually true?

You're out to lunch, business comes up in conversation, and suddenly you're wondering... does that make lunch a business expense? 👀😂

Well, we're putting your knowledge to the test!

💚 What do you think? MYTH or FACT?

Drop your guess in the comments! 👇

We'll be back with the answer and a little explanation of how it actually works!

A little something has been growing outside NW Bookkeeping! 🌿🌸

Earlier this year, we applied for a grant through the Oak Harbor Garden Club, and we were so excited to learn that we had been approved!

Last week, we finally got to start bringing our vision to life with some beautiful new planters out front! And what makes this project even more special is the opportunity to work with some wonderful local businesses along the way.

A huge thank you to The Home Depot, Oak Harbor ACE, Mailliard's Landing Nursery, and The Greenhouse Florist and Nursery for being part of this project! We are so grateful for the support and can't wait to see everything come together as we finish up a couple more planters and add seasonal flowers throughout the year. 🌼

And speaking of supporting local businesses… 👀

Did you know that these local favorites have been nominated for Best of Whidbey 2026?!

🌿 Nursery

Mailliard's Landing Nursery

The Greenhouse Nursery

🔨 Hardware Store

Home Depot

Ace Hardware

Voting is open through October 31st, and you can vote DAILY! Be sure to cast your vote for your favorites and show some love to the local businesses that help make our community so special!

And while you're casting those votes, we'd be tickled if you shared a little love our way, too! 💜

It's amazing how far one small act of kindness can go. 💜

A smile, a thoughtful gesture, a few encouraging words. Sometimes the things that seem so small to us can make the biggest difference in someone else's day.

And just like ripples in water, kindness has a way of spreading further than we might ever know.

💚 So, let's start a little ripple effect today!

We challenge you to do one unexpected act of kindness. Nothing extravagant, just something that might make someone's day a little brighter.

And we'd love to hear from you!

What's a random act of kindness someone has done for you that you'll never forget?

Let's fill the comments with stories that make people smile and maybe inspire a few more acts of kindness along the way!

We just want to say THANK YOU! 💚💙

Because of your nominations, NW Bookkeeping Services made it through to the voting round for Best of Whidbey — Bookkeeping, and Cindi made it through for Accounting!

It’s always pretty special to see our name on that list, but knowing it’s there because our clients, friends, and community took the time to nominate us makes it even better.

Voting opened yesterday and continues through October 31st, so we’d love your continued support!
